Our Story

Growing up in Ojai, California, designer Rosie Shapiro’s free spirit, creativity and artistic abilities were greatly encouraged. From a young age, she was deeply inspired by nature, art and the nearby beaches. She often played and performed music, spent time painting, and was drawn to all things fashion.

Rosie’s upbringing inspired a life of environmental awareness, so her designs are eco-conscious but modern, effortless and comfortable. The ethically produced swimwear integrates seamless, feminine, functional styles that are also luxe, timeless and fresh.

This is Rose Lion: swimwear for today’s confident, adventurous, a little rebellious, environmentally aware woman.

When she’s not exploring the world, Rosie can be found on the beaches in Ventura, California, with her husband AJ, their daughter Sage, and their French bulldog Coco.
